Superb photos of Malhamdale from ‘Smackedpentax’
Malham is a little village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park – it is about 45 minutes drive from my house. It is a gorgeous place, with limestone walls and waterfalls, a Tarn, a huge gorge and an impressive cove.
However, on this day I avoided all that, and walked around the fields and meadows. The early morning sun was risng and the clouds really added to the landscape. As a landscape photographer I couldn’t have asked for better light.
After a couple of hours or so, I had a flask of tea and a ‘growler’ – a Yorkshire name for a pork pie, and settled against a wall and enjoyed the views.
I have previously written about the ‘tourist’ side of Malham here – but for now enjoy the fields and meadows around this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
